She was fascinated by the possibilities it offered. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music not to get work or for a passion and as a way to develop. This led to her began to write songs of her own. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music in front of the public, but not to achieve fame, but rather to let others know that they matter and how they can make a difference for humanity. She was suggested by her mother to be able to perform her music publicly in order in order to make people aware of their own importance and how they can affect the world. Her family didn't have any idea about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora's success was never her dream. She just loves to write songs. Music to her is the only method of feeling anything.
